This public lecture discusses five main criticisms of US journalism's coverage of the COVID-19 epidemic:

1) Coverage of Coronavirus Taskforce Press Conferences,

2) False balance of politicians and experts,

3) “Horse race” reporting of statistics,

4) Lack of medical reporters, and

5) Wasting Time Fact-Checking disingenuous sources. It is followed by a Q&A session.

The lecture was given via Zoom on May 7, 2020, as part of One World Under the Pandemic Online Public Lecture Series organized by Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College's Division of Humanities and Social Sciences.
